Here at the Great Northern, we’re all about offering great tasting dishes at affordable prices. The Head Chef has put the emphasis firmly on providing great pub fare, bringing things back to basics with a real, home-made feel.
And even in the kitchen, beer is a major focus, with our
beer battered fish and chips using 2Brother's Taxi Pilsner, and beef pie
using Hatlifter Stout. Another mouth watering moment comes in the form of
the Great Northern’s very own Feral Snags with a healthy dose of Feral
White.
The start of the week is perfect for those needing a good feed that’s not heavy on the pocket. Monday nights offer $12 chicken parmas, with $12 rump steaks on Tuesdays. Our constantly changing weekly specials keep things interesting, while Thursday nights mean tasty tapas.
Our new Thursday night special is a selection of vegetarian curries.
All in all, the Great Northern is the place to be, with a great range of beers, good food and a real old-fashioned focus on service.
